Stephanie Rendell Visits Heathmont Men's Probus Club
On Monday the 10 January 2020, RNG Lawyers Associate and the Head of Wills and Estates team Stephanie Rendell visited the Heathmont Men's Probus Club. Stephanie presented for 45 minutes educating the men on Elder law, focusing particularly on elder care planning.
Stephanie discussed the importance of seeking professional advice when establishing family care and accommodation agreements. These agreements are often informal, non-documented agreements and are made without any professional advice. These agreements can take many forms including co-ownership agreements, carer agreements, trusts, loans, gifts/conditional gifts and 'granny flat' interests.
No two families are the same and the priorities will be different for different families. If you are contemplating entering into such an agreement, please contact the RNG Lawyers Wills and Estates team for further advice.
