Whitelion Bailout
A night inside to raise funds for at-risk youth.
Keeping young people out of detention
RNG Lawyers family lawyer, Amanda Di Placido spent a night behind bars in an aim to raise funds for at risk youth. The night was aimed at gaining a better understanding on what a night inside prison is like for young people and to help raise awareness about the advantages of rehabilitation. Amanda described the night as being a "very enlightening and life changing experience!"
Why Young People?
Young people are incarcerated for many different reasons however according to the Bail Out website, being the victim of trauma, abuse and neglect is a massive determinate of detention. White Lion believe that communities should invest in crime prevention through early childhood services and community engagement to reduce the risk of young people entering detention.
