Kate was admitted to practice in 1980 and began working in family law in 1983. Since then, she has focused exclusively in this area, helping families deal with emotionally charged situations.

In 1989 she became an Accredited Family Law Specialist in the first group of lawyers to do so in Australia.

Kate prides herself on her ability to approach family issues from a different perspective. She uses her well-developed dispute resolution skills to give RNG Lawyers clients the best outcomes possible, while bringing compassion to difficult situations. Her interest in conflict resolution dates back to the 1980s, when she was one of the first lawyers in Melbourne to explore mediation as an alternative to litigation (as part of the government-funded Family Conciliation Centre). A pioneer in this field, Kate brings exceptional skills in dispute resolution and mediation to RNG Lawyers' clients.

Kate is also an excellent communicator and brings empathy, creativity, thoughtfulness and diligence to all her cases. She's experienced in dealing with all types of family law, including complex property disputes and international abduction cases.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws.
